Providing affordable housing opportunities in the Fenway
Fenway Forward builds, preserves, and stewards affordable housing so the Fenway remains a place where people can live, grow, and stay rooted. For more than 50 years, we have developed over 800 affordable homes — from deeply affordable rental housing and supportive housing to new homeownership opportunities in Fenway and beyond. Today, we own and manage 577 of those units across 14 properties, with an additional 131 units currently in development.
We continue that work by protecting existing affordable housing and creating new mixed-income homes that meet the neighborhood's changing needs. Through close collaboration with residents, private developers, and institutional partners, we ensure housing in Fenway is stable, inclusive, and built for the future.

Homebuyer Counseling
Fenway Forward is proud to partner with Financial Education Associates (FEA) to provide Fenway residents with free access to high-quality homebuyer education and preparation programs. Through this partnership, residents can receive trusted guidance on the homebuying process; from understanding and building credit and budgeting strategies, to preparing for a mortgage and navigating the steps to purchasing a home.
FEA is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency with years of experience helping individuals and families build financial stability and successfully transition from renting to homeownership. Their programs are designed to make the homebuying process clear, practical, and achievable.
Fenway residents have opportunities to participate in free workshops, homebuyer education courses (ex. Homebuyer 101), and one-on-one counseling sessions that cover topics such as improving credit, saving for a down payment, understanding mortgage options, legal protections for homebuyers and preparing financially for long-term homeownership, to name a few.
By partnering with FEA, Fenway Forward is expanding access to the knowledge and tools residents need to pursue homeownership and build long-term financial security in the community they call home.
